Picking a movie is easy. Finding a showtime where everyone can actually sit together is the frustrating part—you open a theater's app, check the seat map, realize there aren't enough good seats next to each other, back out, and repeat. SeatSift skips that process by showing you nearby showtimes with open seats together, all in one place. It's brand new and currently covers NYC theaters. SeatSift never sells tickets or takes a commission; when you're ready to book, you'll be sent directly to the theater's official website.
Hey—I'm Nate, the person who built SeatSift. I kept running into this exact problem: I wanted to see where the open seats were before choosing a theater, instead of picking a showtime and hoping it wasn't packed. So I built the tool I wished existed.
SeatSift is a solo project built end-to-end by one person—not a company, not funded, just something real that I use myself.
